As its name suggests, Virtue Feed & Grain, a venue located in Alexandria, Virginia, has experienced a rich history over the years since its beginning as a feed house. Back in the 1800s, this feed house opened its doors to the city of Alexandria. Over the years, it transformed into a venue and restaurant perfect for couples desiring a mix of history with a rustic and elegant style. Even though this venue has been renovated, care was taken to maintain the original elements and essence of this historic space. For example, the original window bricks were repurposed throughout the new space when it was renovated. This stylish backdrop now provides the perfect space for couples to host their bridal shower, engagement party, ceremony, or reception in.

Period wood also fills the Virtue Feed & Grain's second level adding a touch of warmth and style. On your special day, you can invite up to 175 of your friends and family. Because the space is quite large, if couples are planning a smaller ceremony they are welcome to only reserve certain spaces. However, for larger ceremonies, couples can utilize the entire upstairs space. Not only will your guests be awed by the stunning interior, but also by the peaceful Potomac River situated just outside the venue.

Great rehearsal dinner & welcome party venue!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Virtue Feed and Grain. Amber was great to work with leading up to the day, and the staff was very kind and helpful for the event. One of the AC units was out which made for a fairly hot August evening, but all the guests were enjoying the food and drinks too much to leave early! :) And the staff did what they could to keep it comfortable. It has such a unique/special feel and all our guests complimented the venue and being near the waterfront. We'd recommend Virtue for future event needs.

Words can't describe how much I love this venue. The food is fabulous, the decor/atmosphere is classic rustic with an elegant urban vibe that is totally amazing. When my client described to me her wedding vision The Virtue was my go to recommendation. The bride was beyond excited and every element of the space fit her expectations. Although the atmosphere is great, words cannot describe the staff at The Virtue. The entire evening the staff was pleasant, helpful and sweet. If I could bundle them up and take them with me to every wedding I plan/coordinate I would. They were that amazing! Love this venue in every way!
